| Hi, I suppose I am just like you. Someone creative and interested in applied graphic arts. By trade I am a commercial designer, and have been for 17 years. Since you landed here, we probably also share the habit of continually searching the web for inspiration, ideas, techniques and, of course, free stuff to use in our art.
One of the great things about the web is that there are so many sites by artists willing to share for free what they have learned, made or stumbled on. This page is here to share with you the many really great free resources I have discovered. Ones that you may not have come across yet. I hope it is helpful to you.  I did this one in Illustrator CS2. I'm a big Frazetta fan and I wanted to do a Vampriella. Unfortunately It did not turn out the way I had planed so I am going to start again.  I found the refrigerator and the wallpaper on a free vector site and added the rest. I think it's a good example of how you can use transparency, gradients and masks in Illustrator.
The file is free to take apart and use. It is a PDF but if you open it in Illustrator you'll find it's fully editable.
